FMS Dashboard
Command and Control Interface
The @hand FMS Dashboard is a browser-based application that provides users
with a "command and control" interface to track and manage field operations
data. While FMS mobile applications present user-specific and
location-specific data, the Dashboard provides a more global view of system
data. The FMS Dashboard is typically used by supervisors, managers, and
administrators who are responsible for work activities across multiple
locations and that involve multiple frontline workers.
Modular Approach
@hand FMS is designed to complement, rather than conflict with, existing
ERP, EAM, and CMMS systems. Since @hand recognizes that customers vary in
the level of existing support for web-based field service functions, FMS
Dashboard modules are deployed selectively based on customer needs. For
example, customers that lack sufficient support for technician-specific
work assignment can use the FMS Dashboard capability. For other customers
that run an existing system that provides this feature, FMS is easily
configured to bypass the assignment module and to route work directly to
mobile applications.
Common Use Cases
The FMS Dashboard is commonly used for the following functions:
 |
- Work Order Assignment
- Operator Rounds Configuration
- Equipment Location Tracking / Hand Receipts
- Physical Inventory Configuration & Assignment
- Notifications Review
- Transaction Approval
- Reporting of Mobile Data Events

Configuration
Like FMS mobile applications, most FMS Dashboard components are configured
with the @hand Architect,
an easy-to-use, graphical design environment.
The Architect and the FMS application framework provide an extensible model
within which business logic is represented in XML and core functions such
as UI presentation and data persistence are managed by underlying .NET
components. With this approach, customers can choose from existing
pre-packaged functionality or easily configure new Dashboard workflows to
match their specific business processes.
