FMS Enterprise Mobile Applications
Mobile Computing
@hand FMS mobile applications provide users with the ability to collect,
manage, and submit enterprise data from occasionally-connected devices.
When connected, users can synchronize a mobile application with the @hand
FMS Server to send and receive data updates. When disconnected, users
benefit from a fully-functional application and data set, maintaining a
consistent experience in online / offline modes. The server manages all
application deployments and data distribution to mobile applications,
removing this complex processing burden from the mobile clients.
Mobile Devices and Configuration
To support a variety of use cases and customer devices, @hand software runs
on most common mobile devices used in field operations. These include
ruggedized handhelds, tablet PCs, notebook computers, and smart phones.

The @hand FMS architecture provides a modular component structure
for mobile applications. Application business logic is represented
in managed XML files, while core application components are provided
by .NET components. Applications are configured using the
@hand Architect,
@hand's easy-to-use, graphical design environment.
@hand offers mobile application clients for Windows Mobile devices,
as well as fully-capable Windows (XP / Vista) computers. Many
application features can be shared across mobile applications,
reducing configuration redundancy.
