AUSTIN, Texas - May 14, 2009 - @hand is announcing the release of Version 5.4 of its Field
Mobility System (FMS) software suite. With FMS 5.4, @hand introduces its new Operations
module, as well as a variety of performance enhancements and architectural advances.
The FMS Operations module is designed to support equipment operators in complex plant and
facility environments. The software provides mobility solutions for Operator Rounds &
Readings, Clearances, and Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Frontline workers can capture
and transmit equipment data with FMS

it integrates seamlessly with our existing solution modules such as Field Service,
Maintenance, Asset Tracking, and Inventory Management," according to Mike Loos, Chief
Technology Officer for @hand.
Customers who have recently committed to @hand FMS 5.4 include one of North America's
leading providers of natural gas infrastructure, a leading provider of global supply chain
services to the energy industry, and NASA.

comprehensive field service and mobility solutions for our customers," said John Cannington,
CEO for @hand. "In a challenging economic environment, our customers continue to invest
in @hand to optimize mobile business processes and to implement operational improvements
