Smartphone Applications
Mobile phones are becoming increasingly capable of supporting high-value business
applications. As a result, @hand has developed smartphone software products that allow
businesses to capitalize on these technological developments and to expand the network of
participation for field service and asset management processes.
@hand smartphone solutions provide pre-configured phone-resident applications that work
online and offline. Smartphone solutions also include a server-side @hand Dashboard for
mobile activity tracking and system administration. Applications support BlackBerry® and
Windows Mobile® devices.
@hand currently offers the following smartphone solutions.
Work Tickets:
The @hand Work Tickets solution is designed for organizations that deploy field

technicians to inspect, maintain, and repair company equipment, such as
IT assets. The application manages ticket assignments, ticket status updates,
and work log capture. Data updates are communicated to back-end systems, such
as IBM Maximo®.

Approvals:
The @hand Approvals solution routes customer-selected transactions to
 |
smartphones for approval. Approvals are managed similar to email on the device,
ensuring an intuitive and consistent user experience. Supported transaction
types include purchase requisitions (PRs) and work orders, and the solution can
be easily configured to support new types. All approvals are available for
review in the @hand FMS Dashboard and are communicated to systems of record.
